This 65-story complex offers a panoramic view of the city, and on a
clear day Gunung Jerai in Kedah, from its viewing gallery on the 55th
floor. It houses government departments as well as 5 levels of air
conditioned shops and restaurants.

Bridge
The Penang Bridge, which links Penang Island and the mainland was
officially opened on September 15, 1988. The spectacularly beautiful
bridge spans 13.5km across the channel, offering a beautiful view of the
open sea, ships and the sprawling coastline.

Ramlee House
The newly restored wooden house commemorates
the late P. Ramlee, Malaysia's foremost entertainer. Originally built in
1926 by his father and uncle, the house had previously undergone
successive repairs before being taken over by Esplanade the National
Archives as an extension of its P. Ramlee Memorial project in Kuala
Lumpur.
The display within and outside the house features the main living areas
and also the life history of the late singer, actor, composer and
director. The various artifacts include his personal memorabilia related
to his life in Penang and also items belonging to his family.

Batu Maung Fishing Village
Batu Maung is a small fishing village, which owes its fame to the
beachfront shrine, dedicated to Admiral Cheng Ho, the famous Chinese
admiral who featured prominently in the history of the Malacca
Sultanate. The huge footprint in the vicinity of the shrine is said to
be that of the Admiral.

Kongsi
The Kongsi or clan temple is the most picturesque temple in Penang with
intricate carvings of its walls, pillars, and roof created by master
craftsmen from China. Permission to enter must be obtained from the
Kongsi office.
Open 9am to 5pm- Mon to Fri & 9am to 1pm on Sat.

Kampung Seronok
What makes it unique is the fact that it is virtually open to visitors
who are free to participate in various cultural activities, traditional
games, showcasing the intrinsic values of traditional village life.

Shrine
This miniature Moghul monument was constructed in the early 1880�s. The
shrine is a memorial to the Caliph, Syed Shalul Hamid. It was founded by
Maricars from Tamil Nadu, South India who were granted the site by the
East India Company

Penang Cultural Center
On display are traditional houses of the Malays and ethnic groups of
Sabah and Sarawak. This center operates three cultural tours daily,
which are a window to the Malaysian culture. There are cultural dances,
and demonstrations of wedding ceremonies, traditional games and
the making of handicrafts.
Time: 9:30am-12:00pm, 4:30pm-7pm, and a dinner show from 6pm-10pm.
