Golf Club
A spectacular golf club on the edge of the rainforest with tall
tropical trees around the course. Located north of Pulau Langkawi (Langkawi Island) facing the
Andaman Sea, this international 18-hole, 72-par golf course was designed so
that golfers could enjoy being close to nature, providing a challenging and
relaxing course.
 Set between the lofty Gunung Mat Cincang and the Andaman Sea, the course
ranges from undulating and flat to extremely hilly. Fairways wind
through age-old forests of lush greenery and offer fantastic water views.
The trees which have been there since time immemorial, give Datai Bay its
look of maturity, unlike most new course which have saplings and newly
transplanted trees. The setting keeps one spellbound throughout the round,
with each hole assuming different characteristics.
If there are balls lost or there are too many strokes on the card, the
scenery
more than compensates, and makes the trip to Datai Bay worthwhile.
It is the perfect place to get away from it all, and to tame those wayward
shots, while soaking in nature's beauty

Pantai Tengkorak (Beach of Skulls)
Tucked away from the usual mainland holidaymakers is this lovely, secluded
little beach. A favourite picnic spot for locals, it is flanked by two
headlands on either side, the sand is powder soft and the waves roll lazily
in.
Shady trees with peeling red bark cast shadows on the sand and rolling surf.
A rather eerie legend shadows Pantai Tengkorak where it is said that a
sea demon is said to have swallowed countless number of vessels and
deposited the skulls of the crew and passengers at Pantai Tengkorak
(Skull Beach).
Fact or fiction, visiting this mysterious beach is not to be missed.

The place opened its doors in November 2000 and houses a series of
galleries that showcase the artistic talents of Asian artists like Thawan
Ducahnee from Thailand, Made Wianta of Indonesia, Malaysians Hasnul Jamal
and Juhairi Siad.
Set on the edge of a cliff overlooking the sea,
Ibrahim Hussein is one of Malaysia's finest contemporary artist and is
a household name amongst local and foreign art collectors.
The studio is also open to artists interested in showcasing their art work and
aspiring artists are enthusiastically encouraged to utilise the gallery to
participate in any related fields of art and music.
In the grounds of the gallery is a nature walk trail that winds into the Pasir Tengkorak Forest Reserve.
Location : Near Pantai Tengkorak, and probably could be taken in along with
a visit to the black Sands Beach

Kompleks Budaya Kraf
(Cultural Craft Complex)
A large handicraft centre with a wide range of goods produced in
Malaysia and other Asian countries.
Batik (a specially printed cloth), pottery and
woodcarvings are just a few of the items for sale.
In the centre of the complex is a sort of museum with several dioramas
illustrating the legend of Mahsuri, among other events from Langkawi's
history.
The design of the complex, an elegant neo-Islamic style, is worth a
closer look.

Air Terjun Temurun (Temurun Waterfalls)
This site boast of a spectacular waterfall which
has a 30 m drop and has an idyllic pool at the bottom. The trek to the top
is painless, and well worth your time, as the view is absolutely stunning.
Plenty of parking is available
The sound of clear spring water making its way
from the top of the hills only serves to tempt visitors into having a
splashing good time there.
It is particularly beautiful from June through December, which is Langwaki's
rainy season.
Location: Gunung Mat Chincang Forest Reserve, near Pantai Pasir Tengkorak in
Datai
and about halfway between the Crocodile Farm and the Datai Resort.

 Langkawi Crocodile Farm
Take a close up view at these huge saltwater crocodiles. There are many
types
of crocodile and of all ages in the farm. Here you can witness and
photograph crocodiles and alligators as they play and feed in a controlled
environment
that closely resemble their natural habitat.
Visitors to the farm will be entertained by the antics of the trained
crocodiles at their daily shows - one at 11.15am and the other at 2.45pm.
You will witness a unique boxing match of man vs crocodile, or you can take
a ride
in a rickshaw drawn by a croc!
You could also try making friends with Bujang Kawi, the oldest inmate
weighing over 1,000 pounds. An interesting walk through the farm will bring
you past
a 'baby' crocodile pond, a species pond, a breeding pond, a feeding pond,
'jumping' pond and many more.

 Pantai Pasir Hitam (Black Sand Seach)
An unusual phenomenon, Pasir Pantai Hitam means 'black sand beach', so
called because of its unique beach with glittering black sand,
which is thought to be tin or an oxide of tin
that may have come from the seabed or the earth's crust. During the wet
season, the sands here are more black than white.
The mystery about the black sand is still unknown. An ancient fishing jetty
lends it a sense of history, making a very picturesque scene that's popular
among locals. The beach itself is small, located at the foot of a five-metre
drop
and only a few metres wide. Souvenir shops and fishing spots can be found along its unusual shoreline
Location - To the west of Pantai Tanjung Rhu and
about about 19 km North from Kuah town
