 Cameron Highlands
Fraser Hill Bukit Larut / Maxwell Hill
 Genting Highlands Bukit Tinggi
Pahang has some of Malaysia
well known hill resorts. These popular highlands retreats offer cool
getaway spots. Cameron Highlands and Frasers Hill have have long
been in existence, that is, since the early 1900s, and are looked at
as "traditional" popular highlands getaways and retreats. On the
other hand, Genting and Bukit Tinggi were relatively "newly"
established in the 1970s and 1990s respectively.
Cameron Highlands
Cameron Highlands is a highland region located in the north west
corner of the state and is about 150km north of Kuala Lumpur.. At
5000 ft (1,500 m) above sea level it is the highest area on the
mainland, and enjoys a cool climate, with temperatures no higher
than 25C and rarely falling below 6C year round.
The
fame of Cameron Highlands then grew during the colonial era when
British planters realised the potential of its fertile mountain
slopes for growing tea, then a prized commodity. The Cameron
Highlands are still home to many tea plantations, being Malaysia's
largest tea-producing region. The area is also known as a major
supplier of legumes and vegetables to both Malaysia and Singapore
with its many farms, and is one of Malaysia's
prime tourist
destinations.
Fraser
Hill
Fraser's Hill is truly an idyllic place and is perhaps the prettiest
of the Malaysian hill resorts. Cool throughout the year at an
average of 18 - 20 degree Celsius, it is popular for its greenery,
forest walks,
fresh air and exotic flower gardens, not to mention the golfing
facilities.
Genting
Highlands
Located about an hours drive from KL and known as Malaysias "City
of Entertainment" it boasts several hotels, indoor and outdoor theme
parks, 18-hole golf course and where world class entertainers and
artistes regularly perform and have their stints there. It is also
the only place in Malaysia where a world-class casino and legal
gambling activities are allowed.

Bukit Tinggi
Bukit Tinggi too has its own unique attractions where there is
something for everyone in the family. Rabbit park, horse riding,
golf, street performance and outdoor dining around the French
themed resort town and Japanese Village provides a spread of
exciting and joyful entertainment for
the whole family.
