Amidst a setting of tall trees, flowering and fruiting plants, lies a perfect sanctuary for these reptiles within deep concrete ponds and natural breeding grounds.

ITINERARY

- Depart for the Crocodile farm, boasting over a thousand of these relatives of dinosaurs from the rivers of Wild Borneo. 

- Other animals that can be seen, include the long-tailed and pig- tailed macaques, leopard cats, sun-bears, bearcats, pheasants, civets, deer and more.

ITINERARY

Depart 0700hrs from your hotel after early breakfast, for a 2 hr coach trip through the country to the Similajau National Park, register at the park and follow the plank walk trail across the Likau River. Plank walk trails take us through mixed dipterocarp, kerangas, and mangrove forest with a side variety of palms and fern species along the way. Continue for 2-3hrs to Turtle Beach. Some parts of the trail are slightly undulating, a cross shallow streams along the 6.4km trail. During our journey we witness a wide array of pitcher plants and orchid varieties. The park boasts a variety of wildlife such as banded langur, mongoose, gibbons and bearded pigs amongst them. On arrival at the turtle hatchery on Turtle Beach, we will be briefed on the Park�s role in conservation and protection of the turtles that come to shore to lay their eggs. 

We return to the park by a 40-minute boat ride and drive back to 

Miri arriving late evening. (L)
