One of the highlights of Mulu is the majestic natural limestone sturctures known at the Pinnacles. This trek has it all: Cool scenic boat rides, rainforest trekking, river crossings, swimming in cool mountain pools and the physical and mental challenge of the climb. Please book in advance to allow preparations. A certain degree of fitness is required to make this trip. All accommodation on this trek are very basic. Food and equipment has to be transported.

DAY 1

 At 0900 hours meet and take 1 to 1 1/2 hours longboat to Kuala Berar or long Litut. Proceed on an 8 km trek though beautiful rainforest and along the
Litut River to Melinau Camp (Camp 5), where we stay overnight..

DAY 2

The day begins with an early breakfast at 0700 hours then we begin the 2.4 km step trek to the Pinnacles viewpoint at 1,750 m. Along this trail are many orchids,
pitcher plants and tiny Tree Shrews foraging for food. Return to Camp 5 for a refreshing swim and another overnight stay.

DAY 3

After breakfast at 0700 hours, we retrace our steps back to Kuala Berar or Long Litut for a leisurely longboat ride back to Mulu at about 1100 hours.

This trek has it all: Cool scenic boat rides, rainforest trekking, river crossings, swimming in cool mountain pools and the physical and mental challenge of the climb. Please book in advance to allow preparations. A certain degree of fitness is required to make this trip. Food and equipment has to be transported.

DAY 1

Check in to Royal Mulu Resort. At 1500 hours proceed on the Lang and Deer Caves Excursion. You will be transferred to the Park Headquarters where your guide will lead you on a 3km hike through Mulu's amazing tropical rainforests. Discover Lang Cave and its beautiful limestone formations and walk thorugh the World's largest cave entrance: The Massive Deer Cave. Relax with a snack at the open air observatory for an opportunity to witness the phenomenal exodus of millions of bats out of the caves on their nightly search for food  (Subject to weather). 

Trek back to the Resort by 1900-2000 hours.

DAY 2

Breakfast
Proceed on the Longhouse & Waterfall Excursion. A truly remarkable experience not to be missed. Hop into a long boat for a ride to meet the once nomadic Penan tribe. Visit the Long Iman longhouse and listen to their  stories. Put your bargaining skills to the tests over their artful handicrafts. Trek through the forest and find yourself in the middle of nowhere. Jump in one of the many natural pools or waterfalls to cool off after the trek.
Return to Resort.
