Meet at Mulu airport and transfer to Royal Mulu Resort for check in. Afternoon meet at resort lobby and transfer to Mulu National Park headquarters. Upon registration, proceed on plank walk for 3 Km to reach Deer Cave and Lang Cave. After exploring the caves, proceed to the bats observatory to observe bats flying out of the caves entrance at late evening (during fine weather only).

Return journey on the same plank walk to park headquarters & transfer to Royal Mulu Resort. Dinner at canteen and overnight at Royal Mulu Resort.

DAY 2

Breakfast at resort & transfer to visit Penan settlement, Wind Cave and Clearwater Cave. Picnic lunch at Clearwater summer hut. Proceed journey on longboat for about 2 hours boat ride to Long Litut. Jungle trek for about 3 hours to Camp 5.

Dinner & Overnight at Camp 5.

DAY 3

Breakfast at Camp 5. After breakfast, ascend to Gunung Api for about 3 hours to view the magnificent Pinnacles. Packed lunch will be served at the observatory point.

Descend to Camp 5. Dinner & overnight at Camp 5.

DAY 4

Breakfast at Camp 5, and walk through lowland forest to Terikan River, Then by longboat down to Terikan and Medalam Rivers to Bala Lasong Longhouse.

Dinner and overnight at resort.

DAY 5

Breakfast at longhouse. After breakfast transfer by longboat down the river to Nanga Medamit, then by road to the town of Limbang. Afternoon transfer to Limbang airport for flight back to Miri and connect onward flight home.

To make this trip you need to be fit and ready for adventure. Gunung Mulu rises up to 2376 metres. Observe the changes in vegetation as you climb through rainforest, to lower mountain limestone forest, 800m, to the upper mountain limestone forest at 1200m and above. Look for beautiful birds and odd-looking insects. Please book well in advance so preparations can be made. All accommodation on this trek is very basic as food and equipment has to be transported.

DAY 1

At 0800 hours, meet at the lobby for the van ride to Mulu National park Base Camp. After registering, we begin the 12 km trek to Giam Camp (Camp 3) where we stay overnight beside the beautiful waterfalls.

DAY 2

An early morning breakfast at 0700 hours, prepares us for the 19km trek through secluded forest. We overnight at Lumut Camp (Camp 4)

DAY 3

Straight after breakfast, we proceed to the Gunung Mulu Summit for an incredible view across the National Park. We begin our return trip, sleeping overnight at Camp 3.

DAY 4

At 0800 hours, after breakfast, we complete the last leg of the trek back to the Park Base Camp where a van is waiting to take us back to Mulu.
