This feature has won it
"Best Beach Dive in The World Award". Apart from a profusion of hard
and soft corals, you would also catch regular sights of schools of
barracuda, sharks, jacks, tuna and turtles.
However, turtles are the star
attraction of diving in Sipadan.
This
is the turtle capital of the world.
In fact, the whole gamut of under- water life found in
the Indo-Pacific Basin lives here. More than 3000 species have
been recorded to date, and you will encounter everything from
hammerhead sharks to the smallest and prettiest nudibranch in
and around Sipadan's reef.
It is an underwater
photographer's paradise
There
is even a network of marine caves - Turtle Cavern, Whitetip
Avenue, Barracuda Point, and Hanging Gardens.

Generally the best time
to dive is from April to mid-June and from
mid-Sept to end of Nov., Dec-March can be overcast but visibility and sea
conditions are good, only July/Aug can be rough if a typhoon hits the
Southern Philippines.
