Gem Beach Resort is a beachfront resort close to the traditional fishing village of Batu Rakit, 29km from Kuala Terengganu City Center and 18km from Kuala Terengganu Sultan Mahmud Airport.
On the distant horizon, over the South China Sea, can be seen the islands of Bidong and Redang. To the right of the resort is a rocky outcrop surrounded by the sea. At is this, that gives the village of Batu Rakit its name. The proximity the traditional fishing village of Batu Rakit, provides resort guests with the opportunity of seeing the fishermen land their catch each day. Some is processed into salt fish or fish crackers that can be seen being sun dried close by.

The resort currently has 78 guestrooms comprising 8 superior double, 36 superior triple and 28 deluxe rooms and 6 executive suites. Family room is also available. The accommodation is separated from the main complex and all guests

have a view of the sea or garden pool.

There is a licensed restaurant serving local Malay, Chinese

and Continental cuisine.

Each room is fitted with king size or twin beds, individually controlled air conditioning, en suite bathroom with hot and cold water, international direct

dialing telephone, television with in-house video programs, complimentary tea

and coffee making facilities and mini refrigerator.

Hotel Facilities
The resort has ample parking space, a restaurant serving local Malay, Chinese and Continental cuisine. Conference and banqueting facilities are available.

The main feature in the landscaped gardens is the attractive and spacious swimming pool with spa (pool bar) and children's wadding pool.

A 9 hole miniature putting green is provided.
 

Recreation & Leisure Facilities
Beachfront facilities include volleyball, beach football, and canoes. For leisure one can choose to do cycling with our mountain bike to enjoy the picturesque scenery. Indoor facilities include dart, pool table, football table and music room (karaoke).
