Negeri Sembilan  Land of Quiet Grace

The most significant feature of Negeri Sembilan is the influence of the Minangkabaus from Sumatra in Indonesia. This influence is seen in the buffalo-horned shaped roofs of the many buildings and the practice of matrilineal system in many households. Negeri Sembilan's capital city is Seremban, a mere 50 kilometres away from the nations capital of Kuala Lumpur.  Port Dickson and its beaches is a well known and popular seaside getaway

Negeri Sembilan, translated literally as "nine states", is so called because it once consisted of nine separate districts, each ruled by a Malay chieftain.

NS, as the state is normally referred to, is a scenic state, the rustic villages and lush forests coupled with splendid waterfalls, clear streams, and rivers make NS ideal for agricultural and eco-tourism. Places of interest include the Sri Menanti Royal Museum, a wooden structure built without nails or screws and the picturesque Lake Gardens. The Ulu Bendol Recreational Park at the foot of Angsi Hill offers eco-tourism activities, while Port Dickson while the Blue Lagoon are popular for beach and water pursuits. Tanjung Tuan (Cape Rachado) with its lighthouse is famous as a, sanctuary for migratory birds, and on a clear day, one can see Sumatra across the Straits of Malacca.
